Congratulations to Hope Manor Foundation/The Hub, Our 2025 SuperGrant Recipient!

The BisMan Community Foundation has awarded its 2025 SuperGrant to Hope Manor Foundation, providing funding for an urgent roof replacement at The Hub Community Recovery Center, a cornerstone of recovery and community connection in the Bismarck-Mandan area.

The $50,000 SuperGrant will address a critical infrastructure need for The Hub, whose deteriorating roof has caused significant disruption to essential recovery meetings, classes, and events. Built in 1981, the facility’s aging metal roof has reached the end of its life, with rust damage, leaks, and structural concerns threatening the safety and reliability of the space.

About the Project

The Hub Community Recovery Center, operated by Hope Manor Foundation, is the only community recovery center in Bismarck-Mandan. It provides safe, judgment-free space for individuals and families affected by addiction. Each week, more than 500 people use The Hub for recovery meetings, sober social events, educational workshops, and family support programs. Since opening in 2020, The Hub has served over 20,000 people, many of whom are in early recovery.

Beyond its recovery mission, The Hub also serves as an important revenue source for the nonprofit. The facility’s event and meeting spaces are rented to local businesses, community groups, and residents, providing a steady stream of income that supports Hope Manor’s sober living homes and recovery programming. Persistent roof leaks have limited these rental opportunities, causing cancellations, lost revenue, and additional repair costs. The new roof will ensure the building remains a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for both recovery services and community events.

“This project protects not only our building but also our ability to serve the community,” said Megan Mann, Executive Director of Hope Manor Foundation. “The Hub’s rental income helps fund recovery programs and keep our services affordable for those who need them most.”
